Art has been central to my life since childhood in the Midwest. After moving to Arizona in 1994, I earned a BFA in Graphic Design from Northern Arizona University in 2001. My career path took an unexpected turn from freelance design to running Burly Fish Tattoo & Piercing, where I spent over a decade as a jewelry curator and piercer. Working with clients on breath and meditation reconnected me to my original passion, drawing and painting.
My art now flows from my meditation practice and my deep connection to Mother Earth, expressed through mandala work and pieces focused on social and environmental awareness. In 2017, I became a full-time artist, and in 2019, I opened The HeArt Box in downtown Flagstaff, a gallery space for emerging artists and a studio for creative collaboration.
